To test Android 11 today it is necessary to have a Google Pixel 2, 3, 3a or 4 (or its XL variants), but there is also an alternative to try it, and it is on  our own computer . Are you curious to try the latest version of Android?

Android Studio is the official Android development kit. This is the program that developers use to create applications for different Android-based systems. It is important to install this program because it  has the Android emulator  that will allow us to try Android 11 .

It is recommended that we download the  Prewiew Release ->  Canary Build 4.0  in the official Android Developers section. This version is the one that includes the latest news, Android 11 being one of them. It is important to have  at least 4 GB of space on our PC.

This version is downloaded in a separate folder, so if you already have Android Studio on your computer it does not replace your current version or affect your possible projects in development.

Unzip the folder

AVD stands for A ndroid  V ualual  D evice, that is,  Android Virtual Device . Thanks to this feature, we can emulate many Android development devices, such as Google Pixel, old Nexus and generic Android models, which include even folding devices.
