The dark mode is one of the latest news from Android. So you can have the dark mode in Google Assistant in any version of Android.

Google's latest beta adds dark mode
The situation of Google with the design of Google Assistant is somewhat strange, since the dark mode in this tool has been active in Google Pixel for months, but hidden in many other mobiles. 


As usual, Google has decided to unlock the feature first in its beta version that we can already download and test on our mobile. Steps to follow to activate it in the Google application


You need to install the latest beta of the Google application:

  • You can become an tester of the application on Google Play and wait a few hours for Google to deploy the function.
  • You can download the application in Uptodown or APKmirror .

We open the Google application.
Click on the lower button More -> Settings -> General.
Select Theme and choose:

  • If you have an older version than Android 9: Light and Dark.
  • If we have Android 9: Light, Dark and According to the battery saving mode.
  • If we have Android 10: Light, Dark and Default system.
